How the Day Spa in Vorarlberg works: rates, times and procedure
Day access follows a simple rule. As the AMRAI primarily reserves its spa facilities for hotel guests, the Day Spa is only available if capacity allows. Those interested should therefore enquire before their preferred date and select the appropriate rate at the same time; naturally, the chances are better on quiet weekdays than on holiday weekends; a maximum of four people are permitted per booking. On site, the spa is open from 10.00 to 20.00, and during this time both spa areas are accessible: upstairs, the Maisäß Spa with the Gipflsee, saunas and roof terrace, and below, the Stólla Spa with its copper bath and sauna area. The Day Spa is exclusively for guests aged 21 and over, which means it’s also ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. Remember to pack swimwear and your own bath slippers, as the spa does not provide disposable slippers for environmental reasons. If you’d like to add a treatment to your day, it’s best to book this at the same time; experience has shown that treatments tend to book up quickly. The other amenities are also available to day guests, from the free parking space in the underground car park and Wi-Fi throughout the building to the reception, which is happy to help out with forgotten essentials such as a toothbrush.

If you’d like to start the day earlier, choose the Day Spa Package including breakfast and can enjoy breakfast before their first sauna session, whereas the standard day rate includes an afternoon snack instead. At lunchtime, the Stobas serves à la carte between 1 pm and 4 pm, in the evenings, subject to availability, the Stobas restaurant or the KUPFR GRILL with its open fire are available, the latter from 6 pm to 8.45 pm except on Thursdays. From 4 pm, the bar bridges the gap between the last round at the Gipflsee and dinner. This turns the Day Spa into a full day’s break in Schruns, starting in the morning and ending after dinner, with no need for a suitcase or a room. For anyone who decides they’d like to stay on afterwards, an overnight stay and a day visit to the same establishment are just one booking apart. The cuisine, featuring ingredients from the valley, defines the culinary experience of the hotel. For guests from further afield in Vorarlberg, the train remains a convenient option, as the Montafonerbahn terminates in Schruns, just a few minutes’ walk along the Litzpromenade from the hotel.
